Director of Tax Operations, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office
Jessica Knight is the Director of Tax Operations for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Revenue and Taxation. She is directly involved in daily operations and makes key decisions on all local tax matters. Jessica’s decision-making process is guided by fully understanding the issues presented and carefully considers all aspects, including options, risks, and opportunities to ensure well-informed decisions. Her sound judgement has assisted in developing policies and procedures implemented throughout the Bureau of Revenue and Taxation.
In her tenure at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, she has served as a Sales Tax Auditor and Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer.
Jessica is proud to be appointed to the LA Uniform Local Sales Tax Board as proxy for the Executive Director of the LA Sheriff’s Association. Her focus and decisions will be directed towards achieving the Board’s goal of uniformity and efficiency in local sales tax collection and will be made in the best interest of all concerned.
Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and successfully completed the Pre-CPA Program at University of New Orleans. She resides in Jefferson Parish with her husband and two children.
